Grumps Burgers First Franchise Unit Opened in Glen Rose, TX on June 29, 2024. The line sprawled in the parking lot 30 minutes prior to grand opening time. Located at 403 Mesquite Street in Glen Rose, the restaurant is the first complete Franchise unit to open for the brand, led by the husband and wife duo, Cody & Lindsey Fletcher.
The Fletchers, new to the restaurant industry, owned other businesses prior to dipping their toe into the Franchise world. The decision to pursue the franchise opportunity was made easily after being loyal Grumps customers for over 20 years. Lindsey wanted to “create a stable, long term investment for our family; and man, what an amazing group to partner with!!” Glen Rose is close to their hearts, as their children attend the local schools and are involved in many community activities. “Our goal is to pour into the community as much as the community has poured into our kids,” Lindsey stated at a City Council meeting. The community focus is evident when looking around the Glen Rose location. Much of the vintage memorabilia, signs, and other wall décor was donated by the locals. Even a few of the tables in the “Sports Room” came from the local school cafeteria, talk about a Flashback! Business is booming and the Fletchers have expressed interest in opening a second location in the North Texas area very soon.
The Restaurant Itself
The restaurant offers approximately 80 seats inside the building and has an outside patio that accommodates an additional 20 guests. The atmosphere is bright, cheery (contrary to the name-sake), and clean, welcoming guests of all ages. Grumps Burgers in Glen Rose serves guests Monday thru Saturday, from 11am until 9pm; Closed on Sundays. Signature menu items include the Queso Burger on a Jalapeno Bun, the Jalapeno Bacon Cheeseburger, and Classic Cheeseburger, as well as Dublin Soda products, the coined “Mucho Beer Frio” (frozen schooners of draft beer), frozen Margaritas, and the Southern Slush (whiskey & Cola). They accept dine in, carry out, and phone in orders.
Grumps Burgers is now seeking Franchisees in the North Texas area. Join in on the Ground Floor of an expanding business with a proven concept! Training is located at the Grumps Burgers location in Burleson, TX. Franchisees will learn all there is to know about operating and replicating the Brand.
