Grumps Burgers Is Now Open in Early, Texas!

We’ve always said Grumps was “born at a very early age” — so landing in Early, Texas just feels right.
Opening day in Early — community, families, and that one-of-a-kind Grumps feel.

On June 13, 2026, the doors swung open at 215 Early Boulevard — and the community showed up in a big way. The turnout was nothing short of incredible, and we are beyond grateful to every neighbor, friend, and first-time visitor who came out to say hello (and grab a burger). Welcome to the family, Early.

The Early location is owned and operated by Eric and Mackenzie Martinez — and for them, this one is personal. Early is home. It’s where they live and where their kids go to school, and bringing a fresh, fast-casual burger joint to the community they love has been a long-time goal. Longtime Grumps fans from their days in Stephenville and later in DFW, the Martinezes knew the moment they connected with the Grumps team that it was the perfect fit for Early.

Every Grumps reflects the community it calls home — and Early is no exception. Inside, you’ll find:

  • Nostalgic memorabilia celebrating the Early and Brownwood communities
  • Decor honoring our local colleges
  • Construction, signage, and artwork completed by local companies right here in the area

It all comes together to create that one-of-a-kind Grumps feel — casual, fun, family-friendly, and unmistakably hometown.

We had an unbelievable opening, and like any brand-new restaurant, we’re still working out a few kinks while our team finishes training:

Come hungry

Grumps is famous for our queso burger, ice cold schooners, and jalapeño ketchup — and don’t sleep on the onion rings. Each burger is made fresh and served hot, the way it should be. Thank you, Early, for the unbelievable welcome. We can’t wait to feed you.
